Wildcats News · Scott Yarbrough will be Inducted into the IHSTECA Hall of Fame!

Good Morning!  We have a very exciting and well deserved announcement today as we head into the Holiday Season!
    We would like to Congratulate Coach Scott Yarbrough on being selected for the 2020 Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association Hall of Fame.  Coach Yarbrough has continued to lead our Jasper Tennis Program at the highest level for the last 17 Years including 17 Boys Tennis Seasons and 9 Girls Tennis Seasons.  Scott has compiled 453 Wins over 26 Seasons between the two programs including 289 victories with the Boys Tennis team and 164 victories with the Girls Tennis team.  Coach Yarbrough was named the IHSTECA Coach of the Year in 2011.  Coach Yarbrough’s teams have made 11 appearances in the IHSAA State Finals with 6 of those being with the boys and 5 with the girls teams.  Coach Yarbrough’s State Tournament success was highlighted by the 2017 IHSAA Boys State Tennis Runner-up finish.  Under Coach Yarbrough’s leadership, these programs have won 25 of 26 Big 8 Conference titles and 25 of 26 IHSAA Tennis Sectional titles.  Jasper Tennis also has had 2 Boys Doubles teams and 1 Girls Doubles team earn State Runner-up finishes during this time.
In addition to all of these accomplishments, we would be remiss if we did not mention how special it is that Coach Scott Yarbrough will join his late father, Ed Yarbrough, in the Indiana High School Tennis Coaches Association Hall of Fame!
    Jasper High School is honored to celebrate Coach Scott Yarbrough’s accomplishments!  We are extremely proud of the work you have done with our student athletes and we look forward to many years of continued success moving forward.  Thank you for your years of hard work and dedication to our student-athletes in the Jasper Community!  Coach Yarbrough will be officially inducted into the IHSTECA Hall of Fame on February 7th, 2021.  Great Job Coach Yarbrough and Go Cats!
