Jasper Wildcats JV Clinches Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Boonville
Jasper Wildcats JV defeated Boonville 6-3 on Wednesday after taking the lead late in the game. The game was tied at three with Jasper Wildcats JV batting in the top of the fifth when Jobe Luebbehusen drew a walk, scoring one run.
Boonville scored three runs in the third inning, but Jasper Wildcats JV still managed to pull out the victory. #12 and #21 all drove in runs in the frame.
Jasper Wildcats JV fired up the offense in the first inning, when Chris Hedinger lined out, driving in a run.
Grant Stratton took the win for Jasper Wildcats JV. He went six innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out five and walking zero. Luebbehusen threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Jasper Wildcats JV tallied seven hits in the game. Stratton, Ben Henke, and Connor Foley each had multiple hits for Jasper Wildcats JV. Stratton went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Jasper Wildcats JV in hits. Jasper Wildcats JV didn’t commit a single error in the field.
