Evansville Memorial fired up the offense in the first inning, when Abri Carey singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.
In the top of the third inning, Jasper Wildcats Varsity tied things up at one when Springer singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.
Jasper Wildcats Varsity scored five runs in the seventh inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Springer and Ruhe, a groundout by Werner, by Matheis, and a double by Matheis.
Werner was credited with the victory for Jasper Wildcats Varsity. The fireballer lasted seven innings, allowing three hits and two runs while striking out seven.
Sicil Aliotta took the loss for Evansville Memorial. The bulldog allowed five hits and three runs over five innings, striking out four.
