Jasper Wildcats defeated Princeton 11-0 on Friday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Kylie Morton induced a groundout from Kasey Wood to finish off the game.
Grace Colvin led Jasper Wildcats to victory by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-3 at the plate. Colvin drove in runs on a home run in the first, a home run in the third, and a double in the fourth.
Jasper Wildcats fired up the offense in the first inning. Colvin hit a solo homer.
Jasper Wildcats put up eight runs in the fourth inning. Emily Heim, Colvin, Kennedy Matheis, Madison Matheis, Rachel Gress, and Lexie Jerger all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
A single by Jade Christy in the first inning was a positive for Princeton.
Mia Werner was the winning pitcher for Jasper Wildcats . She allowed one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out two and walking zero. Morton threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Jada Camden took the loss for Princeton. She allowed 13 hits and ten runs over three and a third innings, striking out one and walking zero.
Jasper Wildcats hit two home run on the day. Colvin went yard in the first and third innings.
Jasper Wildcats totaled 14 hits in the game. Matheis, Colvin, Heim, and Gress each racked up multiple hits for Jasper Wildcats . Colvin and Matheis all had three hits to lead Jasper Wildcats .
